Privacy policy
Data protection is very important to us. We do not use any external providers and host our software exclusively on Stellenticket servers in Germany.
Our privacy policy
General
As a service provider we, the Stellenticket GmbH, attach the highest value to the protection of your privacy. This applies particularly to the storage and processing of your personal data.
It is not obligatory to reveal your personal data in order to visit our websites. However, specific personal data can be required to provide particular services. Where this is necessary, you will be informed about the data collection.
Beyond that, we will only save or process data where there is a justified interest according to Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO, for example for error analysis or in order to combat misuse.
Collection and processing of personal data
By agreeing to the processing of your personal data on the basis of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO, you allow the Stellenticket GmbH to use the collected data for three basic purposes:
- to process orders or expressions of interest in offers or services,
- to inform you about special offers or new products and
- to tailor our content to your personal interests.
You may revoke your agreement with effect for the future at any time by emailing service@stellenticket.de.
Deletion of data
Your personal data will only be stored for the period required to provide the service and only as long as you have not withdrawn your agreement.
After the service ends or your agreement has been withdrawn, your personal data will be deleted on the condition that there are no opposing circumstances (for example legal requirements to store data for a certain period of time).
Transfer of data to third parties
The Stellenticket GmbH will under no circumstances transfer your personal data to third parties of its own accord (for example via rental or sale).
We will only transfer your personal data to third parties if that is your explicit wish, it is necessary for the use of offers or services or we are legally obligated to do so.
This applies in the following cases:
- For exchange with cooperating universities and institutes of higher education. Should an individual institution wish to process or use your personal data for other purposes and lack legal permission to do so, they will ask for your agreement. You will be informed of this possibility as part of the service;
- If a subcontractor or agent that we use for the provision of offers or services requires this data (such assistants are, unless you have been explicitly informed otherwise, only entitled to use the data as is necessary to provide the offer or service);
- If you fill in an application form for a job application:
- for processing by the relevant institute of higher education or employer/advertiser of the job;
- If there is an enforceable administrative or court order or
- To combat misuse of our offers and services insofar as is necessary and in a legally permissible manner, in particular use that violates the terms and conditions (AGB) of the Stellenticket GmbH or special terms of use.
Subcontractors
We currently do not have any subcontractors that process your data.
Cookies
Cookies are text files that are saved on the device you use to access our websites.
We only use cookies that are technically necessary, that is: only when they are required for a function, for us to provide you with a service, or to adjust the website to your individual needs. Tracking, especially over multiple different web pages, profile building and statistical analysis do not take place.
All of our cookies are first-party cookies which are only valid for the domain that placed the cookie or, if the service requires it, for subdomains.
Nearly all the cookies we use are temporary. They are automatically deleted when the browser is closed. The one exception is an opt-out cookie from Matomo (see the next point), so that your opt-out persists after the browser is closed.
We do not use any third-party cookies on our web pages.
Impersonal data
Data that is impersonal and automatically provided to us by your browser is used to create internal statistics (for example about the kind of browser used) on the basis of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
These data cannot be associated with individual users and we do not combine them with data from other sources.
On some of our websites we use Matomo, an open source software for statistically analysing user visits, for this purpose. We have configured Matomo to not use any cookies. All data are saved on servers in Germany that we operate ourselves. The IP address is anonymised immediately after processing and before storage.
Through “Do Not Track“ you can use your browser to object to the collection of data for statistical purposes. In this case, no analysis of the data transferred by your browser takes place.
This same applies if you object to data collection by Matomo. In this case the placement of a permanent objection cookie is technically necessary. This cookie exclusively contains your objection.
Log files
When you access websites we run, we save the following information (at a maximum) in accordance with Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO in a log file on the relevant server:
- the IP address of your device;
- the date and time the web page was accessed;
- the web page accessed or the name of the file accessed;
- the amount of data transferred;
- the “user agent string“ of your web browser;
- the website from which you accessed the current web page or file and
- the status report about whether the access was successful.
These non-anonymised log data are automatically deleted after two weeks.
The full log files are only viewed manually when necessary and used for error analysis, optimisation or to investigate misuse or performance issues. They are not used to profile or track. They are not combined with data from other sources.
The IP address is used for an automatic rate limit to protect our web pages from DoS attacks. The processing for the rate limit only takes place for as long as is necessary to combat attacks, usually for up to five minutes after the last non-malicious access or for as long as an attack is ongoing.
Security
The Stellenticket GmbH deploys technical and organisational security measures in accordance with Art. 32 DSGVO and § 64 BDSG to protect your data that we administer from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction and unauthorised access. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological advances. Access is limited to a small number of authorised people who are responsible for technical, administrative or editorial work with data. These people obligated to adhere to special data protection measures.
Right to be informed/register of data processing
In accordance with Art. 15 DSGVO und § 34 BDSG, you have an unconditional right to free information about your data stored by us. In accordance with Art. 16, 17 and 18 DSGVO and § 35 BDSG you have a right to the deletion or blocking of impermissible data, a right to the correction of inaccurate data, a right to limit processing, and, in accordance with Art. 20 DSGVO, a right to data portability.
On request, we are happy to inform you in writing about whether and which personal data we have saved about you. Where possible, we will take appropriate steps to update or correct your data stored with us at short notice. Please contact the company management directly to make these requests.
In accordance with Art. 77 DSGVO, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular, in accordance with § 60 BDSG, to lodge a complaint with the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection.
In accordance with § 70 BDSG, Stellenticket maintains a register of all data processing operations.
The data protection officer is Markus Doits.
