Studying project-oriented in modern laboratories and lecture theaters and going on a boating trip, enjoying a cup of coffee on the banks of the Havel or roaming through Berlin – that's what makes the university location Brandenburg an der Havel so special.
With the founding of the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences (TH Brandenburg) in April 1992, Brandenburg an der Havel became an university town for the first time in its history of over 1,000 years. In just five years, the area of the former barracks of Brandenburg's military district was transformed into today's campus with renovated and newly constructed buildings. The TH Brandenburg offers attractive, trendsetting degree courses in three disciplines: Engineering, Business Administration and Economics as well as Information Technology and Media.
Nearly 3,000 students are enrolled at the TH Brandenburg, studying in modern teaching facilities and laboratories in a leafy campus setting. The range of courses is constantly developing. All courses lead to the internationally recognized degrees bachelor and master. Students particularly appreciate the project-orientated courses on offer. Course content is defined in co-operation with partners in industry, commerce and public administration from the region, giving students the chance to get to know their future field of work hands on right from the start. The university promotes with particular emphasis international exchange in teaching, research and study. The TH Brandenburg has more than 60 partnerships with universities across Europe as well as overseas.
Right from the start, theory and practice are closely linked, semester and master theses are developed primarily in cooperation with companies. Applied research leads to a lively transfer of technology, especially in the region's economy. Since 2016, TH Brandenburg has been a member of the Hochschulallianz für den Mittelstand, an alliance of currently twelve universities of applied sciences throughout Germany. These universities are united by the principle of training young people in a way that is relevant to the labour market and application-oriented while at the same time strengthening the transfer of knowledge to the regional economy.
The cooperation with Stellenticket Technische Hochschule Brandenburg is led by the Career Service of Technische Hochschule Brandenburg.
