The Ernst-Abbe-Hochschule (EAH) Jena is not only Thuringia's largest university of applied sciences, but also the university with the strongest research base in applied sciences. Currently, around 4,550 students are studying here in Bachelor's and Master's programmes in Engineering, Business Administration, Health and Social Sciences. The proportion of students from abroad is about 20 %.
The focal points "Innovation for Quality of Life - Health, Precision, Sustainability & Networking" characterize the profile of EAH Jena. This includes an increasingly interdisciplinary cooperation of the university departments, whereby synergies can be optimally used. For this reason, teaching and research are also more closely linked.
EAH Jena is regionally connected and internationally oriented. It offers its students innovative, scientifically sound and interdisciplinary studies. Cooperation with companies, institutions and associations ensures a practical education, which is why a large number of theses are produced in close cooperation with the partners.
EAH Jena's intensive research and development contributes to a large extent to strengthening Thuringia's technological potential. In particular, the master's degree courses are linked to research priorities. In addition, EAH Jena cooperates with numerous universities worldwide, which means that the proportion of exchange students is continuously increasing. Teachers also work temporarily at universities in Europe, Asia and Africa.
EAH Jena's Career Service is a central institution offering recruiting support to companies and institutions. In addition to placing job advertisements, there are many other ways to get in direct contact with students and graduates.
