"Study the future!" is the motto of the Berliner Hochschule für Technik. It was founded in 1971 as the Technische Fachhochschule Berlin (TFH) when several engineering academies were merged. After being named Beuth Hochschule für Technik from 2009 until 2021, it was renamed as Berliner Hochschule für Technik.
With more than 12,000 students, it is one of the largest state universities of applied sciences in Germany. It offers the widest range of degree courses in applied engineering in Berlin and Brandenburg.
There are over 70 accredited Bachelor and Masters programs with the focus on applied engineering, natural sciences and economics: They range from classic engineering disciplines like Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering as well as Architecture to innovative study programs like Media Informatics, Biotechnology, Food Science and Technology, Screen Based Media, Geoinformation as well as Event Technology and Management.
