Medtech Project Manager (f/m/d)
We now seek a highly qualified and motivated: Medtech Project Manager (f/m/d) to drive the powerful culmination of research into a novel sensing technology that can change the landscape of diagnostics in medicine. You will play a leadership role in the development and clinical translation of this revolutionary new technology and the preparation of its spin-off into a new start-up company. Utilizing inventive photonic sensors and coupled to advanced machine-learning analytics for big-data processing, the new sensor offers a pioneering new generation of disease detection with immense impact for healthcare and strong business potential.
The successful candidate will lead and streamline the transfer of world-class research on photonic sensing to medical applications and play a pivotal role in the commercialization phase of the technology.
Associated tasks include:
Identify technology requirements and development of solutions
Supervise data collection and analytics for generating a portfolio of technology specifications
Tune the going to market strategy, market applications and corresponding timelines
Establish day-to-day operations and prepare for technology spin-off
Raise public funding for entrepreneurial activities and prepare for private start-up funding
The successful candidate will have experience in medtech or biomedical sensors, strong commitment to shape the medicine of the future and address pressing health challenges of modern societies, including metabolic and vascular disorders and she/he will shine with exemplary motivation for entrepreneurship and business creation through innovative ideas.
The ideal applicant must have the following:
University degree (incl. PhD) in any of physics, engineering, medicine or biology and strong entrepreneurial motivation OR a degree in business administration with experience in medical technology.
Excellent strategic and business acumen as well as the ability to develop a winning business plan.
Ability to understand and to contribute to technology solutions for medicine.
Business creation and Start-up experience in medtech or diagnostics considered a (strong) plus.
Team player who works well with technical teams and medical doctors.
Experience in working in fast-paced and challenging environments.
Impeccable judgment and high personal/professional integrity.
Outstanding leadership, work ethics and motivation.
Great networking ability and communication skill.
Business fluent command of the English and German language.

The successful applicant will initially have a 2-year contract, with the possibility of extension.
